It is difficult for us to give up hope for a better past

I read Irwin Yalom the other day. And the following interesting phrase caught my eye: "It's hard for us to give up hope for a better past."

Perhaps some of us are being gnawed and haunted by thoughts of what could have been different, or someone is drowning in regrets about missed opportunities.

" If only 😶🌫 I was then... then my life was now...", "If I had acted differently, then...", "Where was my brain at that moment?", etc.

In fact, all this pulls back, takes a lot of energy, and spoils our future.

What should I do?
I think it needs to be eradicated as soon as possible!
Forgive yourself, give yourself the right to make mistakes, because no one is perfect, put all your strength into the here and now and move on.

And take invaluable experience from the past, let it serve as a start for positive changes!
Don't miss your present!
